On the 19th May The Old Library Bar will host a night of singer/songwriters who take musical inspiration from various genres such as jazz, pop and rock. The four talented artists from the South East London music scene will deliver inspiring and intimate sets in the perfect cosy setting. It is sure to be a great evening.
Podiedrico - Paolo is an Italian guitarist that recently decided he could sing. He is influenced by a large variety of genres, and it’s possible to hear this in his own music. Fluctuating between Brazilian MPB going through his Mediterranean roots and flowing eventually into mid 70s jazz and songwriting.
Evelyn Elliot - Evelyn is a 20 year old singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist based in London. Being brought up on artists such as Joni Mitchell and Bruce Springsteen, Evelyn has formed her own unique style which she is hoping to bring to the London Music Scene. Her originals are inspired by genres such as country, 90s rock, jazz and many more. Evelyn’s songwriting process is highly focused on the meaning behind the lyrics, allowing her to connect with the audience. As well as her interest in songwriting she also plays the saxophone; bringing an exciting sound to her songs.
Oriana Lulia is a 20 year old, singer-songwriter from South-East London. She began playing guitar 4 years ago and has been performing/writing ever since; Her captivating, lyrical story-telling and beautiful melodies are a highlight of her original pieces.
Currently studying Performance & Production at University, she is also in the process of recording her first ever EP, which is planned to be released later this year. She is inspired by a number of artists such as Joni Mitchell, Laura Marling and Lizzy McAlpine.
Max Montanaro is a songwriter who arrived in South East London last year. He continues to develop a tasteful blend of introspective lyricism and jazz-inflected guitar chords.
